lyx memory access error in multiwindow mode on laptop not on desktop.

Hello,
Adding some info to the memory access error in mulitwindow mode. I am not a programmer so I am not sure how to diagnose the error.
I installed latest xfree server and got the document processorer LyX up and running in multiwindows mode on my desktop (both multiwindow and regular mode under wmaker), but LyX keeps on crashing at start-up on my laptop, while it runs without problem in the regular non-mulitwindow mode under wmaker. AFAIK the desktop and the lap-top has the same installation of cygwin. ( I updated both lap-top and desktop this week).
I also installed the latest test series 91 of the xserver but LyX keeps crashing in multiwindow mode on the lap-top. ( I have not installed the test series on the desktop).
