Thanks for the suggestion.
I recompiled 'kterm', but nothing seems to change.
'twm' comes with XFree86-bin, so that should not need compling,
but seems to dump core.
I've updated to the latest packages, with no success:
XFree86-base 4.3.0-10 OK
XFree86-bin 4.3.0-20 OK
XFree86-lib 4.3.0-2 OK
XFree86-lib-compat 4.3.0-2 OK
XFree86-prog 4.3.0-20 OK
XFree86-xserv 4.3.0-64 OK
My problem seems to be same as other thread with subject:
"uxterm from xterm-185-3 and xfontsel crashing when running under cygserver support"
When I stopped the 'cygserver' service, everything seems to run OK.
