Hi, I rebuilt GVIM from sources i downloaded using cygwin setup utility. I used the following sequence of commands ./configure --with-x --with-features=huge ; make ; make install The problem is that each time i try to launch the resulting executable on my home XP box i got the following error message Vim: Caught deadly signal SEGV Vim: Finished. This is *systematic*. Seaching both cygwin and cygwin/X mailing-list with http://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=gvim+SEGV+site%3Acygwin.com&btnG=Rechercher&meta= led me too http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin-xfree/2002-05/msg00159.html But nothing usefull i can use. At work i successfully rebuilt GVIM directly from CVS on a Win2K box w/o such a problem. In both places (Home, Work) i run cygwin setup utility on a daily basis in order to get the latest release available of all packages. The only difference being that at Work i periodically rebuild GVIM from CVS w/ GTK 1.2.10, while at home i use MOTIF. you'll find attached *XWin.log* Any hints will be appreciated. Thank You in advance -Richard
