I checked the FAQ, but it was not exactly enlightening.
xkbcomp -w 3 -xkm ... as given in the FAQ works with no errors, but any setxkbmap command fails with "Error loading new
keymap description"
Is this a search path thing? /etc/X11/xkb or its subdirs are not on the path. Do they have to be, or is the location
assumed?
