Lesstif cannot be found

Hi,
I am currently trying to install xpdf which requires Motif or Lesstif
installed. I have installed the entire X11 section which includes Lesstif
and the xinit package which is required for Lesstif.
The problem is that when I run configure for xpdf it complains that it cant
find Motif but it does give the options to to tell configure where to find
it if it is installed in a non standard place. Any idea where that place is?
