Re: xdvi unexplained locale problem

Dan Tsafrir wrote:
Hi,

I've recently upgraded cygwin. After the upgraded, whenever I open
xdvi, I get the following error message:

  Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged
  Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
  Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default
  Warning: Unable to load any usable fontset

Even though, to my understanding, I don't have any locale related
environment variables set (see attached output of cygcheck -s -v -r).
I tried to explicitly set all the LC_* environment variables to "C",
but that didn't help. Any idea how to fix this?

NLSPATH = 'C:\Programs\IBM\RunTime\%N;'

You should probably try without that in your environment, just to rule it out.

$ unset NLSPATH
$ xdvi
