X won't start anymore

Hello,
I guess it happened after some MS update but I can't start X anymore (from an rxvt-native console since clicking the desktop icon doesn't display anything):
$ startxwin.exe

The culprit seems the line saying "died waiting for dll loading, errno 11". Knowing which dll didn't load could help, I guess...
What's annoying is the fact that this used to work really fine up until about 1 week ago...
