A more than usual time before seeing output.

In particular, configure type of scripts. I just checked a simple echo and it
performs as expected so I'll have to find what is taking longer to get started.

I'm working on this. However I have to `strace sh foo.sh' as `strace foo.sh'
gives an immediate error complaining of `error 193'.
