[avail for test] zlib-1.1.3-5

zlib-1.1.3-5 is ready for testing at
http://cygutils.netpedia.net/testing/zlib-1.1.3-5.tar.gz
http://cygutils.netpedia.net/testing/zlib-1.1.3-5-src.tar.gz
(not using sourceware for test releases -- it's hard for folks to get
them from the private directories since they're not mirrored).
Changes from 1.1.3-4:
o minor fixes from Dr. Volker Zell
o follows new naming scheme for dlls:
/usr/lib/libz.dll.a (import lib)
/usr/lib/libz.a (static lib)
/usr/bin/cygz.dll (dll **)
(**) Under this new naming scheme, the dll's should really be
versioned. For most of the packages I'm making available today, they
are versioned. However, zlib hasn't been changed in ages, and its
interface is *very* stable. So, no version number necessary.
Installation:
Download zlib-1.1.3-5.tar.gz and either:
put it in an empty directory with setup.exe
run setup (install from local directory)
or
unpack from '/': cd / && tar xvzf zlib-1.1.3-5.tar.gz
Comments eagerly solicited,
Chuck Wilson
P.S. Please reply to this message with comments specific to the zlib
package. If you wish to discuss the library naming scheme, please don't
respond to this message. I'll post another thread to kick off *that*
discussion.
