keymaps

to expand on this slighty....what was happening was slightly my
fault.....when using ssh....i usually use it from the cmd.exe prompt....the
keymapping was therefore not working when i finally got on to the target
box......
a resolution to this was to add an environment variable to the user in
windows of: keymap = emacs
which now gives seamless access
