Re: Crontab does not work, Windows 2000


Igor,

I have looked through /usr/share/doc/Cygwin/cron.README like you suggested. The only problem is that the cygrunsrv file does not exist on my computer. I've done a thorough search. Do you have any idea why this happened? Is it common and what should I do about it?

Your cron service is not running. See /usr/share/doc/Cygwin/cron.README.

No, I think you have a different problem.  Looks like your SYSTEM user may
have user mounts that shadow the system ones.  Try getting a SYSTEM-owned
shell and running "mount -m" from there.  If you see any user mounts,
"umount -u" them.
