Weird:
$ ll /usr/lib/libcygwin.a /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/lib/libcygwin.a
-rwxrwxrwx 1 Administrators Domain Users 3704450 Feb 24 07:29 /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/lib/libcygwin.a*
-rwxrwxrwx 1 eblake Users 956656 Jul 2 18:30 /usr/lib/libcygwin.a*
I don't recall ever touching /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/lib. Maybe when I played with installing a build from CVS? Is that directory normally present, or should I just nuke it? But gcc -v revealed that it does indeed do -L/usr/i6866-pc-cygwin/lib before -L/usr/lib.
