You'll have to be more specific than it "doesn't work."  Tell us what
precisely you tried, what you expected, and what happened.  And attach
cygcheck output as directed in <http://cygwin.com/problems.html>.

I have had that option in my ~/.inputrc literally for years and it has
always worked as expected.
