It works fine if you fix the bug :)

Run it in a bash subshell and you'll see:
dk@espanola ~> time for ((i=0;i<=100++)) do :; done
bash: syntax error: arithmetic expression required
bash: syntax error: `((i=0;i<=100++))'
Segmentation fault
