I haven't been able to solve (or even understand properly yet) the
regressions that arose in some aspects of PCH and profiling/instrumentation,
and I'm worried that they may cause errors in (or reflect underlying bugs in)
debug information generation.

+FAIL: gcc.dg/pch/warn-1.c (test for excess errors)
+FAIL: gcc.dg/pch/warn-1.c (test for excess errors)

+FAIL: gcc.misc-tests/bprob-1.c execution: file bprob-1.gcda does not exist,
-g -fprofile-arcs
+FAIL: gcc.misc-tests/bprob-1.c execution: file bprob-1.gcda does not exist,
-O3 -g -DPERFTIME -fprofile-arcs
+FAIL: gcc.misc-tests/bprob-2.c execution: file bprob-2.gcda does not exist,
-g -fprofile-arcs
+FAIL: gcc.misc-tests/bprob-2.c execution: file bprob-2.gcda does not exist,
-O3 -g -DPERFTIME -fprofile-arcs

+FAIL: gcc.misc-tests/gcov-2.c gcov failed: gcov-2.c.gcov does not exist

But, I'm way too overloaded in my day job at the moment to find time to
investigate deeper, and it's been a while already, and that means I really
ought to get on with a release despite these possible issues.

So, it will only be an experimental release for people to experiment with
and look for problems, and for the sake of those maintainers who need to get
something working and aren't too bothered if there might be problems in the
debug information just so long as they can have a working executable.

I'll upload it within the next 12 hours. Look out for the announcement.

    cheers,
      DaveK
