- Subject: 1.5.21: fork in find/ls failing, simple test case
Using the distribution noted in the attached cygcheck.out, the
following command fails consistently with the results shown:
(Lassen John ~ ) find --version
GNU find version 4.3.0
Features enabled: O_NOFOLLOW(enabled) LEAF_OPTIMISATION FTS
(Lassen John ~ ) cd /usr
(Lassen John /usr ) find bin -exec ls {} \;
7 [main] find 1424 fhandler_dev_zero::fixup_mmap_after_fork:
requested 0x18680000 != 0x0 mem alloc base 0x18680000, state 0x2000,
size 1040384, Win32
error 487
733 [main] find 1424 C:\cygwin\bin\find.exe: *** fatal error -
C:\cygwin\bin\find.exe: *** recreate_mmaps_after_fork_failed
The tcsh.exe shell is then hung and requires termination by the
Windows Task Manager.
I have tried to rebaseall with no luck. This problem does not occur
in earlier distributions, such as 1.5.19-cr-0x5ef.
I see no discussion of this problem in the mailing lists, so I'm
wondering is this Is this a regression?
