  Heh.  You ran into a well-known gotcha.

dk@rainbow /artimi/software/firmware> type kill
kill is a shell builtin
dk@rainbow /artimi/software/firmware> type /bin/kill
/bin/kill is /bin/kill
dk@rainbow /artimi/software/firmware> /bin/kill -v
kill (cygwin) 1.14
