Double argh. After rebooting, I found sshd wasn't running at all. Looking
at /var/log/sshd.log, I found a ton of:

  C:\cygwin\usr\sbin\sshd.exe (1584): *** proc magic mismatch detected -
  0x704D1F7E/0xD079E02.
This problem is probably due to using incompatible versions of the cygwin DLL.
Search for cygwin1.dll using the Windows Start->Find/Search facility
and delete all but the most recent version. The most recent version *should*
reside in x:\cygwin\bin, where 'x' is the drive on which you have
installed the cygwin distribution. Rebooting is also suggested if you
are unable to find another cygwin DLL.

errors, and interspersed between them there were three:

16 [main] sshd 1208 fork: child -1 - died waiting for longjmp before
initialization, retry 0, exit code 0x80, errno 11

errors. The second two copies had "91234694" and "96508326" instead of "16"
but were otherwise identical. (It would certainly be helpful if these
errors had timestamps, BTW.)

Trying 'net start sshd' at this point gets the 0x61063240 error popup again.
Guess I have to reinstall Cygwin again to get sshd back to its semi-working
(just not after a reboot) state?
