There's a chance that you're not logged in with the password user token.
Under some circumstances (which are, unfortunately, a bit intransparent)
Cygwin decides that the user token is not ok and creates a new one which
is then missing the network credentials you need to access your shares.

One thing you could try is th regenerate your /etc/passwd and /etc/group
files.  If you have a domain, don't forget to add the domain user and
group accounts with `mkpasswd -d' and `mkgroup -d'.
