"Two new functions are available in Cygwin builds:
`cygwin-convert-file-name-from-windows' and
`cygwin-convert-file-name-to-windows'. These functions allow Lisp code
to access the Cygwin file-name mapping machinery to convert between
Cygwin and Windows-native file and directory names."

However, `C-h f' doesn't show them (run emacs -Q, then `C-h f cygwin- TAB').
C-h f only shows interactive functions aka commands.
No, it shows all.
Seems like a one-liner in *scratch* would settle this rather decisively (missing
function vs missing docs)...

Confirmed: we were linking the code for these conversion functions on all Cygwin builds, but initializing it only on cygw32 builds. Thanks. Fixed in Emacs trunk revision 112041.

Thanks. I'll backport this to emacs-24.3 the next time I update emacs.
