Thanks. Unfortunately, the problem I reported in
https://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2014-04/msg00199.html doesn't seem to have
been fixed. I thought it was supposed to be fixed as part of binutils
bug 16807. I've sent an additional comment to that bug report:
