Might I humbly suggest http://www.sun.com/xml/developers/diffmk/
This is a perl script that performs a more rational diff of two XML
documents. It understands the DocBook revision attributes and can even
produce a (usually, mostly) rational version that can be used to
present a pretty-printed diff.
