It's a "feature" of the list processing software. A dubious feature at
best. I suppose I could see if I can get it turned off. (It's never
bothered me enough to go digging.)
Anyone want to *keep* the feature? (Private replies, please, this is OT.)

I'm sure you can use gnus to do it. And I'm tempted to figure out how,
just so I know. But not today.

Yeah, but it may be that some goofy mailers on, uhm, other operating
systems aren't quite so feature rich.
