- List-id: <docbook-apps.lists.oasis-open.org>
hi,
i'm trying to produce an index for a document in german, and index terms
starting with one of the german umlauts appear as symbols in the index
(docbook-xml dtd 1.44). i put the unicodes for these characters into the
"lowercase" and "uppercase" entities in fo/autoidx.xsl so these characters
appear as additional characters in the index. that's nice, but in german
indices, these characters usually are sorted as if they were "ae", "oe", and
"ue".
is it possible to modify the sorting rules for these special characters (and
maybe others in other languages)?
by the way: can i change the "lowercase" and "uppercase" entities from within
another xsl that imports autoidx.xsl? i tried that but it didn't work. i must
confess i'm not that sophisticated with xml.
thanks in advance.
