With 1.0.10 libxslt from yesterday
@xsltproc --stringparam html.ext .html xsl/xhtml/cal-chunk.xsl stories.xml
> @echo "Done Chunking content";

Damn it's simply shell script embedded in Makefiles:
@(for i in *.html ; do tidy $$i > stories/$$i ; rm -f $$i ; done)
it replaces both lines.
