Okay, I'm stumped... anyone know why I get this error msg:
----- Forwarded message from "Stinson, Leanne" -----
E:\stinson\SME_Server\userguide\French\html>e:\docbook\saxon\saxon.exe ..\usergu
idesme.xml e:\docbook\nssg-xslt\e-smith-html-chunk.xsl
Error at byte 653 of file:/E:/stinson/SME_Server/userguide/French/userguidesme.x
ml:
Error reported by XML parser: bad continuation of multi-byte UTF-8 sequence (c
ode: 0x22)
Transformation failed: Run-time errors were reported
E:\stinson\SME_Server\userguide\French\html>
----- End forwarded message -----
While the example is using a custom XSLT stylesheet, I have tried it with
just the standard DocBook stylesheets. What would I look for with a
"bad continuation of multi-byte UTF-8 sequence"?
FYI, the file starts off with:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" standalone="yes"?>
<!DOCTYPE book PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.1.2//EN"
<!ENTITY product "SME Server V5 avec ServiceLink">
]>
Should I be using a different encoding string? The text is in French
(Canadian) and the person doing this is using Instant Saxon on Windows.
I haven't been able to try the files on a different setup for a number
of reasons.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
