Hi,
I'm using pdftex to transform PO files

Question: Is there a tool on Linux for
converting PO files directly into PS files
without having to generate PDF first?
Kind of. Instead of running pdftex, just use the non-PDF tex. That
will get you a .dvi file which you can then convert to a postscript
file with dvips.
