nXML is an XML mode for Emacs based on RELAX NG. All you need to use DocBook with nXML
is a schema for docbook, which is included into the distribution of Emacs. I myself
is not a emacs user -- it has always been too big for my computers, but it is
(the mode) highly valued by many.
Get a distribution from http://www.thaiopensource.com/download and follow the instructions.
