Re: docbook and images.

/ Andreas Kostyrka <andreas@mtg.co.at> was heard to say:
| The example in the docbook book, gives multiple formats for one image as
| <mediaobject>
| <imageobject><imagedata ... format="gif"></imageobject>
| <imageobject><imagedata ... format="eps"></imageobject>
| <textobject>...</textobject>
| </mediaobject>
|
| Now, I'm wondering how does the processing system know which and how many
| images to include?

A processing system is required to include at most one
image. Under no circumstances do the processing expectations
allow a system to render more than one alternative.

See the, ahem :-), official reference for more details:
http://docbook.org/tdg/html/mediaobject.html

                                        Cheers,
                                          norm
