Hi,
This is a correction to my previous post.
Please note the correction indicated by "<<<<<< CORRECTION" at the end
of this message. Sorry :-(

I am trying to convert my .sgml document to these other formats.
I have the DocBook tools from Cygnus:
jade-1.2.1-3
jadetex-2.7-0
sgml-common-0.1-2
docbook-3.1-5
stylesheets-0.10-2
tetex-0.9-6
I get the following error messages:
howardm:~/public_html/HOWTO$db2pdf tronlineDOC.sgml
Using stylesheet: "/usr/lib/sgml/stylesheets/cygnus-both.dsl"
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.14159-0.12h (Web2C 7.2)
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)
howardm:~/public_html/HOWTO$db2ps tronlineDOC.sgml
Using stylesheet: "/usr/lib/sgml/stylesheets/cygnus-both.dsl"
OUTPUT FILE NAME IS tronlineDOC.dvi
This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.2)
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)
This is dvips(k) 5.78 Copyright 1998 Radical Eye Software
(www.rad icaleye.com)
dvips: ! DVI file can't be opened.
howardm:~/public_html/HOWTO$db2dvi tronlineDOC.sgml
Using stylesheet: "/usr/lib/sgml/stylesheets/cygnus-both.dsl"
OUTPUT FILE NAME IS tronlineDOC.dvi
This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.2)
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
howardm:~/public_html/HOWTO$jade -d
/usr/lib/sgml/stylesheets/cygn us-both.dsl -t tex
tronlineDOC.sgml > tronlineDOC.tex
results in a "proper" tronlineDOC.tex file , but then :
howardm:~/public_html/HOWTO$jadetex tronlineDOC.tex
This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.2)
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"db2pdf" works O.K. <<<<<<<CORRECTION: "db2rtf" works O.K
I'd appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks a lot.
