RE: ecos on EDB7111-2

Thanks for your responses.

I've tried using cu (and minicom) at 38400 8N1 and no flow control to see
if the gdb stub will send anything, but there was no output at all. Just
to check, I've also connected 2 PCs together with the same serial settings
to verify the link.

I've also tried using the DOS version of download.exe to flash in the
prebuilt gdb stub, but still didn't work. Again to check, I've used both
download.exe on DOS and dl_edb7xxx on LINUX to flash the angel ROM. In
both cases, the flash was suceessful and I could see the angel banner
through the serial port at 9600 8N1 when starting the board.

In the ECOS tutorial under the section on CL-PS7111 Hardware Setup (which
I assume is the EDB-7111 by another name), it mentions that all remote
communications is done through "Serial port 1", is that the same as the
first serial port (UART1) on the board? or does the numbering start from
"Serial port 0"? Anyway, I've tried both UARTs without success.

The silkscreen on the board shows EDB7111-2 REV B.

I would welcome any sugguestion on how to proceed.

Thanks again!

PS: oh, btw, i did press RESET and then WAKEUP to start the board :)
