This type of question is probably better asked in a more general forum than
ecos-discuss, which is a list for just eCos developers. Try the
comp.arch.embedded Usenet newsgroup in future.
Many different definitions exist for what is an embedded system, but I
think most people agree that _in_general_ it means, no monitor, no
keyboard, and largely unsupervised operation. Many embedded systems have
hard disks. There are always exceptions though :-).
