new target

I will port ecos on a un-list arm processor (samsung KS32C4100).
What is the best way to manage a project like this one:
- is it a good idea to create an target entry in the 'ecos.db' file ?
- do I have to create a complete '.cdl' file for the project ?
- what is the most basic target which already exist among ecos
arm-processors ports ?
any other comments are obviously welcomed !
