Problem with getting old version eCOS Repository.

When I trying to get the old version ecos repository I encoutered the
following problem:
administrator@DIKHUIT /c/ecoscvs/cvs1
$ cvs co -D "2001-06-25" ecos
cvs checkout: No CVSROOT specified! Please use the `-d' option
cvs [checkout aborted]: or set the CVSROOT environment variable.
