Sure, you can do that.
'Cause I did that as I said before.
But I left all stuff about this in my office and
I can not tell you how to do right now.
I do not remember where to be modified such that
you can load the network package on and develop
your ethernet driver.
Let me have a sleep at first. after entering my office,
I will try to dig out any piece of info "how..."

I just need to use the TCP/IP support function (higher layer support) and I
am making my own device driver for the transceiver and hardware. So is there

It's not supported out of the box since the standard E7T board does
not have the necessary transceiver and connectors.
