You can find more information on:

there you will find the documentation to install the gnu tools.
Once you have installed the gnu tools you should make an ecos build with
the configtool
where you choose the template linux synthetic target.
Once you the ecos library you can link any app you write with it and
just run the application on linux, it will just be a process under
linux.
