It's possible, using the RedBootDoC patch from
<http://www.vsr.si/ecos/patches>, by selecting DISK instead of FLOPPY as
a startup option.
The patch code allows booting only from the first partition, which must
be a primary one.
MBR is not included there, but it works if You do an fdisk /MBR.
