Hi,
I am just getting started with eCos and have been having problems
successfully building a eCos test-case under the synthetic i386-linux
target using the instructions in the User Guide.
The kernel appears to build successfully using 'make' however when I
try to run 'make tests' I get an number of undefined reference errors
to '_Unwind_xxxxx' functions when building 'tests/cxxsupp' (see details
below).
I am running a clean install of eCos 2.0 on Slackware9 and created the
project with the command line ecosconfig tool using the i386linux
target (ie. 'ecosconfig new i386linux' / 'ecosconfig tree' etc.)
There do seem to be some issues with the synthetic target and GCC 3.2.2.
Either use GCC 3.2.1 or use make -k tests to bypass this build problem.
It's "just" a test, although it does indicate you probably won't be able
to use new and delete in C++ code.
