Well, i don't expect it to disappear the day the FreeBSD stack does
get bridge support. The FreeBSD is already been set as the default
stack, but the old one will be kept around for those who need it. I
know some people have custom devices which interface to the bottom of
the stack in ways which would need some effort to make work with the
FreeBSD stack.
