You can do either, but i would suggest creating a new package. As i
said earlier, IPsec cannot be made part of the standard eCos
distribution because of American export regulations. By making a
separate package, it can be distributed from a non-US server so
everybody can use it. I would call the package, CYGPKG_NET_FREEBSD_IPSEC
and place it in packages/net/bsd_tcpip_ipsec/current. 

The current CVS for FreeBSD will be different than that in eCos,
because the eCos port was done a while ago. You need to use the
FreeBSD sources from the time the port was done. Read

It tells you which snapshot of FreeBSD was used for the port. Get
those sources.
