run gprof against PROFILE.DAT (ARM7TDMI)

I am trying to run profiling of my code(ARM7TDMI). I got the PROFILE.DAT,
ran the gprof(on Red Hat Linux7.2) and got these messages:
$ gprof arm.out PROFILE.DAT
BFD: Dwarf Error: Invalid or unhandled FORM value: 14.

Segmentation fault
Could somebody tell me what I went wrong here?
