about upgrading redboot image

Dear All,
I run a rom version of redboot. But if I modify the code and build a
new redboot image, how could I program it to flash?
Since the redboot's code segment is in rom, it may overwrite the code
segment. The following line is printed:
'Can't program this region - contains code in use!'
