PC VMware target broken

Hello,
The PC VMware CVS target seems broken. RedBoot boots with a two minute
delay, before ethernet driver init is called and in an application a GDB
breakpoint never happens.
As far as I remember, everything ran normally in March this spring.
I've looked at the CVS list, but found no records of any suspicious
change there.
Does anybody remember what might have introduced VMware flaw?
