As just pointed out to me, we should set a deadline for votes.

The deadline is set to 11th Jan 2004, after which email will go the way of /dev/null.

Unlikely. People come. People go. In six months time somebody will ask for a new vote. Somebody will not like the results and claim you rigged the results and say next time there needs to be a paper audit, etc, etc, etc.

There will always be whingers, and the maintainers are more than welcome to inspect our email logs/scripts/etc. This is hardly a killer vote and only meant to determine what the majority of the list prefer.


I am surprised to see such a response already and the split so far is pretty even, with only one vote seperating the yes and nos :-/
