debugging ecos on grg..

Friends,

Thanks for the support. I could integrate the front end for coyote
and am now able to see grg on configtool. Had to update ecos.db and
cdl's for hal/, devs/flash & devs/eth along with some code in these
paths.

Next step for me would be to get a binary, download it on to the target
and
Debug its execution.
Here I need some pointers. What tools are available for debugging ecos
startup - till the uart gets working?. Do I need an emulator or a pure
software tool is available?.

Regards,
Vijay

David,

Thanks for the fast response.
In my ecos 'configtool->build->templates->hardware'
am not seeing any hardware reference related to ixp425
processor. The closed hardware seems to be the
'Intel Xscale IQ80310 board'. But then its not ixpdp425
you referred?.

Vijay

I did this ages ago (and threw it all away since it I no longer had
access to Coyote hardware). Basically you copy the ixpdp425 support and
change filenames/variable/function names and tweak a few other things.

I've attached the patches for Coyote support I still have lying around.
I can't provide any further assistance beyond these patches.
