Thank you for those references, I'll have a look at them.
What about a fully supported board with maybe a LCD instead of VGA output,
any ideas?
I'd like to experiment graphic display with eCos, and I'd like to don't
spend time to port eCos to the board...

Arcom do an ARM based Xscale PXA 255 based board called a Viper that has an
optional frame-buffer to VGA adapter (FPIF-CRT).
The board is supplied with Redboot installed and they should supply the full
source as well with their development CD.
The adapter uses a three channel DAC to do a crude RGB digital LCD data to
VGA conversion, but it works.
Don't expect PC graphics card performance though, only 640x480 resolution
and much slower rendering.
