I report that I've done eCos 3.0 beta 1 testing for Olimex LPC-E2294,
(olpce2294 target) LPC-H2294 (olpch2294), LPC-L2294-1M (olpcl2294)
boards on Ubuntu hardy heron 8.04.2 LTS.

I istalled eCos 3.0 beta 1 and arm-eabi gnutools from eCosCentric using
ecos-install.tcl. I had no problem with installation. In fact I used
guide from here http://ecos.sourceware.org/testing.html. But, at first,
I built and burn new RedBoot [ROM] images for the targets with
'ecosconfig' importing v3_0b1/misc/redboot_ROM.ecm. All images started
without any problems. Both channels serial/telnet were alive. I tested
'fis' commands subset, 'fconfig', 'load' (ymodem, tftp). Then I built
eCos using templates: 'minimal', 'kernel', 'default' (for olpce2294,
olpch2294, olpcl2294); and 'posix', 'net' (for olpce2294, olpcl2294). I
did not meet any build problem with CLI/GUI configure systems. Tests ran
okay under GDB and new RedBoot for serial and ethernet communication
channels. I ran all recommended set of tests from the guide. I did meet
no hangs or reboots during runs. One issue with 'configtool': I often
saw message in the dialog: Run Tests | Output

exec error - No such file or directory

CLI arm-eabi-gdb ran smothly. I can report that I tested 230K baud rate
over usb-to-serial with this gdb having no problems on olpch2294,
olpce2294 targets. For 'net' templates and olpce2294, olpcl2294 I ran
all net tests under net/common. There were no problems with the tests.
For olpce2294 I ran a few h/w net tests successfully too. Using 'posix'
template I additinaly ran POSIX's 'tm_posix' test successfully. Both
"net" boards use CL CS8900A ethernet controller, but, olpce2294 used it
in 8-bits mode (polled mode), and olpcl2294 used full-featured ecos CL
CS8900A ethernet driver. So, I can report that driver is not broken.

I can report too that I tested eCos 3.0 beta 1 LPC2xxx SPI driver with 1
SPI device on bus 0 in both polled and interrupt-driven modes. I used
olpch2294 target for that. I can report that eCos driver is not broken.

Sergei
