Heh! Not always...

Named pipe support (actually named socket) for the latest VMWare player
3.1.2 for Linux is broken but it all works fine on Windows 7 (64-bit
even), for PC RedBoot support anyway.  Only serial or file support
appears to work on Linux.  Also very unreliable is the AMD vlance
bridging support.  Again, works perfectly on Windows 7.

Weird, normally this kind of stuff is broken the other way around...

abhishek, you just need to figure out the cygwin path mapping to where
you located the named pipe.  You need to take some time to figure out
yourself how cygwin mapping is put together, or ask on their mailing list.
