I agree I don't think they should. Read-only access should mean exactly that. It's slightly a shame, because it wouldn't be unreasonable for even anoncvs users to see when particular files changed. I guess they should just use the ecos-cvs list and filter it themselves if that's what they want.


Unfortunately I don't know of any way to prevent it, other than changing the CVS binary. I would ask the s.r.c overseers for their thoughts, but I suspect they'll just tell me to report it to the CVS maintainers, so that's what I'll do.
