I would rather fix it.  But I do not have anything close to your environment.  Couldn't you look at
the definitions and add one that is appropriated for Irix?  If you submit the patch (and it does not
break anything else :-), we can incorporate it to the main sources and you'll never have this
problem again in future releases.
